Remote online notaries can be used for cash transactions and for loan transactions with permission from the lender.

Funds can be received by wire, personal check, or cashier’s checks. Wires are preferred for receiving funds, as check verification can delay funding by up to 48 hours.

Personal checks for amounts over $500 must be held for 14 days before dispersing, which may delay funding.
